Located in downtown Davao City is its premier institution of higher education, the Ateneo de Davao University. Pictured is the Jacinto Campus, or the main campus, which houses the tertiary-level colleges, including the Ateneo Law School. About 1.7 kilometers to the southwest, across the Davao River, is the Matina campus, which houses the elementary and high schools.
Unlike its cousin in Metro Manila with its sprawling 100+ hectare campus, the Jacinto campus of Ateneo de Davao has to make do with a city block. And so we have a modern-looking multi-story university complex along E. Jacinto St. Just to the east is the Marco Polo Hotel with its visible swimming pool.
Visit the Ateneo de Davao official website for more information. (Or check out its Wikipedia entry.)
