Google Earth Philippines

The Google Earth globe.

If you’re more of a Filipino Google Earth junkie instead of a Google Maps hacker, then you should visit Google Earth Philippines. This wiki, which is primarily run by Roby and Urbano over at the Philippines Makeover blog (formerly Metro Manila Makeover), aims to be a central repository of all Google Earth-related KML and KMZ files.

The most common types of KML files are those that highlight and label places in the Philippines. Probably the most interesting ones though are the one the Naga City GIS people have released. Check out the really cool Naga City building footprints. The Naga City GIS people have even released their raw Naga/Bicol data and invites Google Earth enthusiasts to play around with the data and create and share KML files.

Mabuti may nakaisip gumawa nito. Kahit di mo dati nararating pagginamit mo ang earth phil. para ka na ring nakarating sa turistang lugal sa Pinas. Iba ang pinas.

RGH : March 14, 2009 at 05:30 AM

Could this image thru google earth perfected to like can take pictures on all open spaces on earth in a 3D form thereby it monitors what everyone does in a certain time? If this happens, the world will be at peace I think, because you are being watched like television, a crime happened just rewind the time to see who did what when and where. Maybe a help in finding lost things and many more. The most important is the software or the system can’t be altered by just anyone. No they’re covered by camera so no problem at all.

This is a great achievement done by the people with creative minds. You exerted more time and efforts making an earth map, that serves a very useful guide in locating unfamiliar places. I congratulate all the contributors for the job well done.
