Here is an interesting find for Vista Pinas: Manny “The Pac-man” Pacquiao’s mansion in Google Maps! This palatial residence of the Philippines’ 2008 Olympics flag-bearer is located in his hometown of General Santos City in Mindanao and was constructed in 2006.
Quite visible in the satellite image is the distinctive glove-shaped swimming pool at the back of the house. Also visible is the fact that there are two buildings in Manny’s 2,300-square-meter lot. One is the 780-square-meter main house (the L-shaped building) and the other is the 320-square-meter “entertainment” building where Manny keeps his sports cars, trophies, game rooms, sauna, gym, and recording studio.
Anyway, Manny Pacquiao is set to duke it out in the ring against his idol Oscar De La Hoya this December 6, 2008 at the MGM Grand Hotel Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada. This match is dubbed “The Dream Match” and will be the biggest boxing match in years, pitting the world’s current best boxer pound for pound against the most financially successful boxer ever. This match will also be De La Hoya’s grand boxing career finale.
Going back to The Pac-man’s mansion, check out this blogger’s account about his visit to the residence. He has a few pictures including this excellent one of the pool and the entertainment building.
