Marco Polo Davao

If PBCom Tower is the tallest skyscraper in the Philippines, then Marco Polo Hotel is the tallest skyscraper in the largest city (by area) in the Philippines, Davao City. This 18-storey, 245-room hotel is a well-known landmark in Davao City and offers great views of the Davao Gulf, Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the country, and Samal Island.

Quite visible in Google Maps is the hotel’s swimming pool and right across it to the east is the main campus of Ateneo de Davao, which we featured before. I haven’t been to Davao but the Marco Polo Hotel has the reputation of being the best hotel in the city. If you’ve been there, do you think it deserves that recognition?

Anyway, you might want to check out the official website of Marco Polo Davao where you can check out its list of amenities, book rooms, or see more pictures.

I’ve stayed there twice and it’s really great.
Their bell service is the BEST! They can help you procure the sweetest, juciest pomelos.
The fruits served at their coffee shop or lounge are the sweetest, freshest most aromatic ones you’ll ever get to taste, from mangoes, pineapples, bananas, etc.
The choices for room service are great, too.
Even if I just stayed at their Standard room, the amenities were complete and super that I lingered longer in my room than I’d usually do during leisure trips.
I had dinner at the Eagle’s bar and everything we ordered is just delectable. For the adventurous guests, you’ll get a kick from the trophies hanging on the walls, specially the one right above the stage. Heard they belonged to the owners.
Can’t wait for another Davao trip so that I could stay there again. Read articles about their new amenities, like a Spa, the Deck with a menu & food choices to die for.
